What is metallic ink?
Metallic ink adds an extra touch of luxury with gold and silver tones that print alongside standard CMYK colours (cyan, magenta, yellow and black). Unlike foil, metallic ink is applied through the printer, making it ideal for headings, highlights, numbering, and other refined finishing details.
What stocks does metallic work with?
Metallic inks can be used across our full range of stocks—from uncoated to kraft—in all GSMs, making them perfect to make both internal pages and covers shimmer and shine.
How do I set up Metallic ink?
Metallic ink should be set up as a spot colour within your artwork. Label the spot colour as either Gold or Silver, and let us know how many pages it appears on so we can provide an accurate quote. Not sure how to set it up? Get in touch — we’re here to help.
How long does it take?
